VEHICLE- SECURITY SEARCH
How do you do a security search? procedure has been divided into two main parts consequential in the systematic and reliable approach to performing the responsibilities. The security staff must be familiar with the vehicle search measures and policies of that institute.
Points to be considered while communicating with the driver ;
1. Where to stop the vehicle
2. When to leave the vehicle
3. Where to move to once out of the vehicle
4. Where to remain while the search is conducted
5. When to return to the vehicle
6. When to drive the vehicle out of the search bay

Additional areas need to be searched for heavy vehicles,
1. Additional wheels and axles
2. Tool bins fitted to the sides
3. On the roof
4. Air cylinders (braking systems)
5. Luggage compartments of coaches
6. The cargo holds of transport trucks
When you are performing the job of traffic control you should carry on following things before asking for the driver to go to the search inlet.
1- Make successful communication with the security staff that is conscientious to search the vehicles.
2- Radio/voice/visual contact pass on modernize on search progress.
3- Maintain the traffic flow to the search bay at a manageable rate (as low as possible).
4- Select the vehicles as per the site traffic management policies.
5- Direct the driver to the search bay by using the proper hand signal.
6- Be vigilant of the other drivers and make sure no one escapes from the search.
7- Identify an unusual appearance and suspicious behavior of the driver.

2. Under-seat storage of forklifts and cranes
3. A raised platform of a scissor lift the sequence of inspecting the vehicles
4. Start and finish at the same point as the vehicle every time
5. Move in a clockwise direction around the vehicle
6. Inspect each of the 10 areas from top to bottom
7. Use a torch to clearly see internal spaces
8. Move on to the next section only when satisfied that the current section is clear
9. If searching with a partner
10. Start at diagonally opposite sections of the vehicle
11. Move in a clockwise direction
12. Communicate with the partner when finished each section
13. If a dangerous item is detected follow this procedure.
14. Remain calm and make a quick mental note about
15. Location in the vehicle
16. Colors
17. Odors
18. Suspected material
19. Evacuate the search bay to a safe distance
20. Call the police and report the incident (Either directly, or through the control room)
21. Detain the driver in accordance with the law.
